Shoes: According to Heavy.com, here are a couple pairs of shoes that ranked as the best running shoes for men and women.
Men's: Nike Men's Revolution 2 Running Shoe (Price: $48.59 - $104.99)
The Nike men’s Revolution 2 comes in a dizzying array of color combinations. Some are more subdued, such as black/white/varsity red or midnight grey/red/black/white, while others stand out with accent colors such as orange or electric green. Combination synthetic and mesh material provides plenty of ventilation, which helps keep feet cool and dry even on hot days. A grooved rubber outsole grips the road in any weather conditions.

Women's: Saucony Women's Cohesion 7 Running Shoe (Price: $35.98 - $99.99)
A unique overlay construction provides lightweight lock down for your feet, keeping them snug and secure while giving them enough room to move as needed. This shoe, designed for neutral runners, has a comfortable two-tone mesh material. When it’s stacked up against some other shoes on this list, the Cohesion 7 doesn’t stand out as the flashiest or most stylish shoe. However, if you prefer a simpler shoe to begin with, you’ll love this model’s simplicity. A flexible forefront and high-abrasion outsole makes this shoe a great investment for serious runners.

** For extra support, I always run with an orthotic insole in my shoe. It adds an extra support for my arch and actually helps to keep my knees and hips from any pain during and after my run. There are some that are soft, but you need to go with one that is tough enough and will last. My personal preference is Orthaheel. Click here to find out more about them.
