Progress Fridays: My Experience with Getting Back Into the World of Running

I must say that this has been a pretty good week. Running has become part of my morning routine because it actually helps me kickstart my day. Here is what I have been able to accomplish so far this week.


My Runs:

** Keep in mind that I only time my actual run time. I do not count the stop/rest/walk time in between.

** All of my times are recorded using the Nike + app.

August 15, 2015:
ran: 2.50 miles
time: 20 minutes, 57 seconds
weight: 180 lbs
stops/rests: rested at 1 mile for about 1 minute and at 2 miles for about 30-45 seconds
cool down walk: 2.50 miles for 52 minutes and 37 seconds

August 16, 2015:
ran: 1 mile
time: 7 minutes, 47 seconds
weight: 178.8 lbs
stops/rests: None
cool down walk: 4.6 miles for 1 hour, 16 minutes and 50 seconds

August 17, 2015:
ran: 2.5 miles
time: 20 minutes, 1 second
weight: 178.2 lbs
stops/rests: rested at 1 mile for about 1-2 minutes and at 2 miles for about 1-2 minutes
cool down walk: 3.32 miles for 55 minutes and 21 seconds

August 18, 2015:
ran:2 miles
time: 15 minutes, 50 seconds
weight: 178 lbs
stops/rests: rested at 1 mile for about 1 minute and at 1.5 miles for about 30 seconds
cool down walk: 2.35 miles for 37 minutes and 55 seconds

August 19, 2015:
ran: 1 mile
time: 7 minutes, 4 seconds
weight: 179 lbs
stops/rests: None
cool down walk: 1.51 miles for 24 minutes and 31 seconds

August 20, 2015:
ran: 1 mile
time: 7 minutes, 37 seconds
weight: 180 lbs
stops/rests: None
cool down walk: 2.73 miles for 2445minutes and 14 seconds



** I decided not to run today, so I have opted to do a light full-body workout. I plan to work on abs as well. I know my body will be hurting tomorrow!

** As I continue to run, this is my progress from this week. Hopefully I will keep sticking with it.
